Fayette County, KY – A judge has ruled that jurors in the murder trial of former state lawmaker Steve Nunn will be allowed to hear evidence that he engaged the services of prostitutes in the week leading up to the death of his former fiance. Fayette County Circuit Court Judge Pamela Goodwine yesterday ruled that prosecution evidence showing contacts between Nunn and women from an online dating service is relevant to the murder case. Defense attorneys had sought to have that information excluded from Nunn's trial this August. The former lawmaker is accused in the shooting death of 29-year-old Amanda Ross, who was gunned down outside her Lexington apartment in September of 2009.
