Murray, KY – Calloway County and Murray officials plan to test tornado sirens in Murray, Hazel and on the Murray State University campus this morning starting at about 9:00 am. Emergency Management Director Bill Call says the tests are to ensure the sirens are working properly. Despite having signaled the warning systems several times this spring, today's test will allow officials to more accurately test each individual siren, which Call says is difficult to do under actual threat conditions.
