Nashville, TN – The Federal Emergency Management Agency has approved more than 13 million dollars so far in disaster recovery assistance for Tennesseans affected by severe weather and flooding since April 25th. The disaster declarations issued in early May cover 24 counties, including Dyer, Henry, Lake, Obion, and Stewart counties. As recovery enters its second month, FEMA officials report more than 9 thousand have registered for some kind of disaster assistance, and inspection teams have visited almost 6 thousand damaged homes throughout the affected area.
