Madisonville, KY – The newly elected leader of Kentucky's American Legion is Doug Farley of Madisonville. Farley says Kentucky's Legion has more than 25,500 members. The organization is a veterans' support and advocacy group, which also focuses on supporting community youth. Farley says last year Kentucky recruited more new members relative to their size than any other state. Farley hopes to bring in more veterans this year, including younger ones who've fought in Iraq and Afghanistan.
