Paris, TN – Henry County Commissioners will consider whether to cut personnel, raise taxes, or suspend services during budget hearings in the next month. The Paris Post-Intelligencer reports the county has depleted its rainy day fund. Even so, many agencies, including the county schools, are coming to the commissioners to ask for additional funding. Commissioners discussed raising property taxes by 6 - 13 cents to cover the deficit. Budget discussions continue next week.
