Murray, KY – Secretary of the Kentucky Labor Cabinet Mark Brown awarded Madisonville's GE Aviation Plant the Governor's Safety and Health Award yesterday. Plant employees worked more than 4.8 million man hours without a single lost-time injury or illness. The plant received the award last year when employees worked 3.8 million man-hours without any injury. The plant manufactures turbine airfoils and employs 550 hourly and 95 salaried workers.
