Tennessee Disaster Recovery Update

By Jacque Day

Tennessee – Nearly $20 million in federal assistance is going to Tennesseans who suffered losses during two recent bouts of severe storms and flooding. More than 10,000 people have registered with FEMA for disaster assistance, and officials have inspected nearly 7,000 disaster-damaged homes. Henry County falls under the disaster declaration for severe storms, tornadoes, straight-line winds and associated flooding from April 25 to 28. Lake, Obion and Stewart counties fall under a separate disaster declaration for severe weather and flooding.
