Fort Campbell, KY – All eight Fort Campbell school facilities are in either poor or failing condition. That's according to a report from the Department of Defense Education Activity committee. The Kentucky New Era reports that bringing the schools up to current standards would cost 64 million dollars. DODEA officials say close to half of that cost would go to improving Mahaffey Middle School alone. The majority of the schools are more than fifty years old.
