Fort Campbell, KY – A Hardin County judge has dismissed murder charges against a former Fort Campbell soldier. Brent Burke has been tried four times in the 2007 shooting deaths of his estranged wife and her former mother-in-law. There have been two mistrials and two hung juries in the case. The prosecutor then sought to drop the charges. Circuit Judge Kelly Mark Easton dismissed the case Wednesday and ordered Burke released to Fort Campbell custody.
