Clarksville, TN – Three Clarksville pharmacies have been robbed within the last two days. The first was Sunday afternoon when a man walked into a Kmart pharmacy, told the clerk he had a gun and left with two bottles of Xanax. An hour later, a man entered a Walgreens and told the employees he had a gun while holding his hand over his pocket. The man demanded methadone and told the employees to stay on the floor for five minutes after he left. The third occurred yesterday, and is believed to be connected with the first two incidents. The robbery occurred yesterday evening at another Walgreens. Clarksville Police spokesman Jim Knoll says a man posing as a customer displayed a gun and demanded Oxycontin. Knoll tells the Clarksville Leaf-Chronicle employees at the pharmacies told similar stories and gave a similar description of the robber. Anyone with information regarding these cases can call authorities at (931) 645-8477.
