Murray, KY – A Murray State University student has died and another is injured following a car accident early yesterday morning. The Calloway County Coroner pronounced 19-year-old Majed Balharith dead at the scene. The accident occurred at the intersection of KY HWY 80 and HWY 94 Connector. Officials report 42-year-old Jonathan Herrel ran the stop sign at the intersection, and struck the vehicle driven by 19-year-old Mohammed Alyami, in which Balharith was a passenger. Herrel and Alyami both sustained injuries. Herrel was taken to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville.
