McCracken County, KY – Five Kentucky counties are now eligible for possible loan assistance because of spring storm damage in Illinois. President Barack Obama declared 14 Illinois counties as disaster areas as a result of storms and flooding since April 19th. The five counties in Kentucky that are contiguous to the disaster area are Ballard, Crittenden, Livingston, McCracken and Union. The U.S. Agriculture Department Farm Service Agency says eligible family farmers may qualify for FSA loan assistance for physical and production losses. The agency will take applications through February 7th.
