Lexington, KY – Riding of the success of the 2010 World Equestrian Games in Lexington, Alltech announced Friday that it will sponsor the 2014 Games in Normandy, France. Alltech President Dr. Pearse Lyons says the decision proved to be very valuable for marketing his Nicholasville-based company.
Alltech is an animal nutrition company with more than two thousand employees worldwide. It contributed 10 million dollars to last year's WEG, but Lyons says because things are more expensive in Europe, Alltech will give $14 million to be the title sponsor in Normandy.
