Mayfield, KY – Southbound traffic on the Purchase Parkway is restricted to one lane today around mile marker 14 due to a malfunctioning helicopter. The rescue chopper landed there yesterday evening to transport patients injured in a car accident, but is experienced mechanical problems. Transportation Cabinet Spokesman Keith Todd says repairs should be made this morning. Traffic in the area will be restricted to the passing lane until work is completed.
