Fort Campbell, KY – Four Fort Campbell soldiers received a hero's welcome yesterday as they returned to base to attend ceremonies and memorial services. Sgt. Anthony Verra, Sgt. Phillip Casey, First Lt. Larkin O'Hearn, and Private First Class Jack Zimmerman all lost limbs to improvised explosive devices in Kandahar Province, Afghanistan. The Clarksville Leaf-Chronicle reports a sizeable crowd gathered in expectation of their arrival, as the wounded veterans came to attend dedication services in honor of eight fellow soldiers who lost their lives.
