Hazel, KY – Hazel's City Council is reaching out to a local businessman in an effort to reopen the city's largest antique mall. Mayor Kerry Vasseur says the City Attorney, Trevor Coleman, is trying to contact the owner of Charlie's Antique Mall and reach an agreement regarding a lawsuit that sits now before the Calloway County Circuit Court. Ray Gough, the owner of the mall, shut the business down in protest of booth licensing fees and possible criminal charges for refusal to provide booth vendors' names. The Murray Ledger & Times reports the city has not received a response from Gough as of yet.
