Hopkins County, KY – A Hopkins County couple has won the National Stuck at Prom Duck Tape competition. Lindsay Ashby, a Hopkins County Central High graduate, and Jarrid Scott, a Dawson Springs High graduate, came out on top of the competition entered by over three hundred couples nationwide. The challenge is to create prom outfits using Duck Tape in creative ways. Ashby tells the Madisonville Messenger they used 57 rolls of tape to create their outfits. The couple won the $5,000 dollar grand prize that will be split between their schools.
