Louisville, KY – The University Of Louisville Board Of Trustees has recommended a five percent raise and 25 percent bonus for President James Ramsey. For the past three years Ramsey has declined a bonus because the university was unable to provide staff with raises. This year, faculty and administrators will receive raises between zero and five percent based on merit. Next month, the University of Louisville Foundation will consider whether to approve the raise on Ramsey's $456,000 salary. It will also consider the bonus, which would be around $114,000 paid entirely by the foundation. In his annual review on Wednesday, some board members said they felt comfortable recommending Ramsey for such a large bonus because he's denied one the past three years.
