Frankfort, KY – Too many high school and college students are leaving campus before they complete their degrees so says Nolan Marx of Franklin-Covey, a company that promotes educational and business services to the public and private sectors. Marx testified in Frankfort this week before a panel of state lawmakers
"Nationally, 3 out of every 10 children that step foot on a high school campus do not graduate. While Kentucky is better, that number is still almost 2 out of every 10."
Marx says one of three freshmen at college campuses across the country doesn't return for a sophomore year. The result, he says, is that students are not being prepared for the work the economy demands.
