Fort Campbell, KY – Major General John F. Campbell is set to officially relinquish command of the 101st Airborne Division to Major General James McConville on August 12th. The exchange will take place at a ceremony ending the annual Week of the Eagles, which begins August 5th. McConville takes over for Campbell whose promotion to Lieutenant General, recently confirmed by the Senate, sends him to the Pentagon. The Clarksville Leaf-Chronicle reports Campbell is set to become Army Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations, Plans and Training.
