Murray, KY – A Murray State University student has been named a Fulbright Scholar. Ashley Winkler, a chemistry and Spanish major who graduated in May, recently received notification that she won the Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship. She will be teaching in Cantabria, Spain next as a part of a program meant to teach students about the United Nations, and world understanding. Winkler tells the Murray Ledger & Times she knows the experience will be invaluable developing communication skills and cultural understanding.
