Frankfort, KY – Kentucky's 2012 Drinking Water Intended Use Plan is available for public review and comment leading up to next month's public meeting in Frankfort. The plan identifies the goals of the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund and describes how the money will be used to achieve those goals. The fund is a low-interest loan program that facilitates efforts to protect water quality and public health. The Kentucky Infrastructure Authority will have $38 million available for low-interest loans for construction of drinking water projects in Kentucky. The plan can be viewed online here. The public meeting is August 5 in Frankfort.
