Union City, TN – More homes are going up for sale in the Union City, Tennessee area following the closing of the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Plant. As nearly 2,000 people have lost their jobs, many are leaving. Goodyear is working with realtors to try and sell the homes of those who are transferring to other plants, discounting prices ten percent or more. Realtor Tim Moore tells WPSD-TV he has 60 days working with Goodyear to sell the houses. Real estate prices in the area are expected to continue to fall.
