Murray, KY – Efforts to revitalize main streets across Kentucky will be on the agenda for a conference that begins today in Murray. The three-day conference will look at successful incentives being used to draw more business to downtowns statewide. 72 communities participate in the Kentucky Main Street Program. Main Street managers run the program locally through a volunteer board, while the Kentucky Heritage Council provides technical and design assistance. Economic restructuring efforts to strengthen main streets will be the focus of the annual summer training session, held at Murray's Robert O. Miller Conference Center.
