Paris, TN – The Paris, Tennessee Board of Public Utilities agreed Thursday afternoon to apply for a no interest loan/grant combination on behalf of Bethel University and the Henry County Medical Center. Board Chairman John Etheridge says the utility is the only entity within the county that can apply for the loan, which the university and hospital hope to use to help fund a joint medical center project. The Paris Post-Intelligencer reports a $60,000 dollar grant portion of the deal must be matched by either the hospital or university, as the public utility can refuse to accept the deal if any expense comes down on them.
