Graves County, KY – A man escaped from jail in Graves County Monday to avoid deportation. Officials say 34-year-old Octavio Lemus escaped from a Restricted Custody Center where non-violent offenders serve time for non-violent offenses. Sherriff Dewayne Redmond tells WPSD Lemus was serving a 60 day sentence for a DUI offense, but when informed that immigration officials would be coming to the facility, he crawled over a barbed-wire fence and disappeared into the woods. Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to contact the Graves County Sheriffs Dept.
