Murray, KY – The Nature Conservancy and the Natural Resources Conservation Service are partnering to improve water quality and wildlife habitat where the Bayou de Chien and Obion Creek flow into the Mississippi River. The partnership allows Western Kentucky landowners to receive financial and technical assistance to conserve their properties. The collaboration is related to an NCRS initiative to provide $1.65 million this year to landowners to improve and conserve wildlife habitat. The project's goal is to conserve and restore 5,500 acres in Fulton, Hickman, Carlisle and Graves counties.
