Metropolis, IL – Members of United Steelworkers Local No. 7-669 vote today on a proposed three-year work contract with Honeywell Corporation. Polls opened at 5 o'clock this morning at the Union Hall in Metropolis, Illinois, and will close this evening at 5. Union Media Secretary John Paul Smith tells the Paducah Sun the ratification vote, which has been held off since negotiators reached a tentative agreement on June 20, was contingent on the development of a worker re-entry strategy.
