Paducah, KY – Paducah Mayor Bill Paxton hopes a new hotel could break ground in downtown Paducah in the next two months. He says the Paducah Riverfront Development Authority is narrowing down the possible candidates for a hotel developer. PRDA Executive Director Joe Frampton says while he cannot release any details as of yet, he shares the mayor's optimism. The Paducah Sun reports city development consultants recommended the development of two downtown hotels during a March board meeting, but officials are focusing on a convention center hotel for the time being.
