Murray, KY – Kentucky's State Budget Director Mary Lassiter reports strong growth in sales and income tax revenue. She says July revenue of $693 million was up nearly 7 percent compared with July 2010. The Consensus Forecasting Group last week affirmed that revenue growth is ahead of pace by predicting General Fund receipts to exceed budgeted levels by $192 million. Lassiter is cautiously optimistic about the revenue outlook, citing challenges ahead to balance the budget this fiscal year.
