Murray, KY – A special judge will be appointed in a case between the McCracken County Clerk and the County's Fiscal Court. McCracken Circuit Judges Craig Clymer and Tim Kaltenbach recused themselves citing knowledge and circumstances of the case. County Clerk Jeff Jarrell filed the suit against the fiscal court. He contends the recent move to convert the Clerk's office's budget from a fee system to a fee pool is illegal under Kentucky law. Jarrell's attorney, Kent Wicker says he expects the special Judge to be named in the next few weeks.
