Murray, KY – Recently the Cadiz City Council diverted half of the $30,000 allocation to the County's Economic Development Council to the Cadiz/Trigg County Tourism Commission. Chair of the Trigg County EDC, Dan Bozarth says the loss of funding for the EDC came without much warning. He adds the EDC understands the needs of the Tourism Commission. But the funding cut was a disappointing blow to his organization which relies on their funding to draw new business to the county. Both the Mayor of Cadiz and a city council member sit on the EDC so he hopes that they will see the need for reinstating the funding in the future.
