Murray, KY – The Kentucky Workforce Investment Board Kentucky can now certify counties as Work Ready Communities to show employers a given town has a capable workforce. The Governor's office reports today (Tuesday), the certification is available for counties that have met goals in six different areas including high school graduation rate, community commitment, and digital literacy. Economic Development Cabinet Secretary Larry Hayes says the program is meant to show prospective employers that the county has a workforce capable of meeting the demands of their business. The certification is free, and open to any community that applies and meets the criteria.
