Murray, KY – Kentucky First Lady Jane Beshear attended an event in Christian County yesterday celebrating energy efficient schools in the state. Over the summer, Millbrooke, Indian Hills, Lacy, and Belmont Elementary schools, all in Christian County, received ENERGY STAR labels bringing the total number of Energy Star schools in the Commonwealth to 100. The First Lady delivered a speech at Millbrooke Elementary, touting growth in energy efficiency over the past few years. The first ENERGY STAR label in Kentucky was given six years ago.
