Murray, KY – The US 68/KY 80 reconstruction in Land Between the Lakes and a Lexington road project are competing in a national transportation contest after winning top honors in the Southeast. The Southeastern Association of State Highway and Transportation issued the awards which recognize excellence in transportation improvements. The LBL project received the award for improving visitor access, having a context-sensitive design, and developing hiking and biking trails. The projects will move on to the America's Transportation Awards which will announce the winners of two 10 thousand dollar awards October 16th.
