Murray, KY – Funeral services for Paducah's longtime Chief Building Inspector Joel Scarbrough will be held Thursday. The Paducah Sun reports Scarbrough passed away unexpectedly Monday following a long battle with cancer. Scarbrough served as Paducah's director of inspections for 23 years and was instrumental in many of Paducah's building and demolition projects during his tenure. Relatives of Mr. Scarbrough ask that expressions of sympathy be sent to the Sarah Cannon Research Institute in Nashville.
