Murray, KY – Illinois' Department of Insurance has been awarded more than 5 million dollars in federal grant money to create a Health Insurance Exchange for the state. The Exchange will allow individuals and small businesses to comparison shop through an online marketplace. The grant is part of the federal mandate that requires states to have Health Insurance Exchanges up and running by 2014.
