Murray, KY – Madisonville's Police Department announced yesterday it has tripled the amount of drugs seized during the last six months. The department credits the newly formed Vice and Narcotics Squad with the confiscations totaling around $190,000. The squad was formed in February and replaced a single officer who was tasked with drug patrols for the previous 10 years. The Madisonville Messenger reports 25% of M-P-D man hours are dedicated to the local drug task force.
