Murray, KY – Murray State University's board of regents adopted a campus-wide diversity plan at its quarterly meeting this afternoon in Hopkinsville. Kentucky's Council on Post Secondary Education required state universities to develop the plan. President's Commission on Diversity member S.G. Carthell says the plan provides a framework for the university to shape future programs. Carthell says it will be some time before plan can prompt physical changes to campus community, but it is a vital step forward to a more inclusive campus. The CPE meets September 22nd to approve the plan.
