Murray, KY – A Paducah commission is asking the public to review details of a possible merger between the city and McCracken County. Charter County Government Commission members met yesterday (Thursday) to approve the publication of their draft outlining the steps needed for a merger between the two governmental bodies. The Paducah Sun reports the merger could be on the ballot in early 2012. The Paducah City Commission and the McCracken County Fiscal Court would both have to approve the measure before a vote could take place.
