By Shelly Baskin

Murray, KY – Madisonville's Trover Health System has chosen three organizations to discuss creating a potential partnership. The hospital invited Baptist Healthcare System, Owensboro Medical Health System, and Tennessee based Lifepoint Hospitals to participate in the selection process. Trover's Vice President of Strategic Development Joe Miller says,

"A partner will help us design care systems to manage risk in the new, what they're calling pay for performance reimbursement systems."

Miller says the reimbursement system emphasizes the need to provide improved healthcare with greater efficiency. He says the partnership will allow them to sustain services without losing money. Trover's board of directors will vote on pursuing a partnership November 16 and the decision could be final as early as next summer.
