Paris, TN – Henry County Medical Center and the city of Paris are disputing who should pay a $65,000 dollar a year fee for 911 service. Hospital CEO Thomas Gee says HCMC has paid the fee since the mid 90s to help fund local dispatch services. The hospital now wants the city to pay for the service. Gee says the fees are not typical for hospitals in Tennessee and they're straining the hospital's budget. He says he'd like to see the city and county governments create a plan with the 911 board to take on the fees while continuing to provide dispatch services.
