Murray, KY – Land O'Frost Inc. and the Hopkins County Board of Education have settled their lawsuit over unpaid property taxes. The lunchmeat manufacturer has agreed to pay the Hopkins Board $275,000 for taxes owed during 2009 and 2010. The settlement stems from a 2009 lawsuit Land O'Frost filed stating Hopkins County over-valued the property where its factory is located. The Madisonville Messenger reports Land O'Frost sued the Board of Education over a breach of contract for lunch meat delivered to local schools in lieu of tax payments.
