Murray, KY – The Wickliffe paper mill's parent company, New Page, has filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy, but officials say it shouldn't impact the west Kentucky mill. A spokesperson at the Wickliffe mill declined to comment but issued a press release that says New Page mills will operate as usual during the company's financial restructuring. The Ballard County plant employs 480 people. Officials say they entered the Chapter 11 proceedings to restructure their debt and improve their long term business prospects. New Page owns mills in four other U-S states and one in Canada.
