Murray, KY – The Clarksville/Montgomery County School Board has approved a controversial revised rezoning proposal transferring over 12 hundred students to new schools. The measure passed at Tuesday's board meeting with only one member voting against it. Opponents object to the transfers, saying it means longer commutes for their children. The revisions were designed to address their concerns, lowering the number of students impacted by 3 hundred. The Clarksville Leaf-Chronicle reports no current high school students will have to transfer.
