Murray, KY – Illinois Governor Pat Quinn is scheduled to leave today on an eight-day trade mission to China. Quinn is in search of new export opportunities and investment for Illinois businesses as the state's jobless rate continues to rise. Unemployment climbed to almost 10% in August, up from 9 and a half percent in July. Accompanying Quinn is a 30 member delegation of business, education and political leaders. Quinn's visit will include stops in Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong.
