Frankfort, KY – A Franklin County circuit judge has ruled records from an investigation of sexual abuse allegations involving Kentucky Republican gubernatorial nominee David Williams should be made public. Williams sued to block the file's release to The Courier-Journal and the Lexington Herald-Leader, claiming invasion of privacy. The Courier-Journal reports Judge Thomas Wingate issued his ruling for release earlier today (Wednesday). A woman Williams represented as an attorney accused him of sexually abusing her. He denied the allegations at the time and said he never had sexual contact with her. The Attorney General's office investigated the case in 2002 and found no grounds to open a criminal investigation.
