Murray, KY – Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services Secretary Janie Miller says the agency will delay launch of the overhauled Medicaid program to November 1st. Miller says the start of the new managed care program is being delayed from October 1st because of a request from the Kentucky Hospital Association. The Paducah Sun reports the association wants more time to sign contracts with managed care companies. The overhaul is meant to save money and eliminate a budget shortfall of $100 million in the program that serves more than 800,000 Kentuckians.
