Murray, KY – The Kentucky Department of Education will release results of the annual tests taken by public school students next week. The numbers will be available on its website at midnight Tuesday. Department spokesperson Lisa Gross says the results will include scores from the outgoing Kentucky Core Content Test and under the federal No Child Left Behind law. Kentucky is adopting a series of sweeping public education reforms using the more rigorous Common Core State Standards. The state Board of Education has not yet finalized plans for new assessments to accompany the changes. The Commonwealth is also seeking a waiver to No Child Left Behind requirements next year.
