Hopkinsville, KY – The Hopkinsville Water Environmental Authority is partnering with a Canadian company to extend a major natural gas pipeline to the city. The HWEA says the project was started to provide industrial grade gas service for the area. The pipeline will be 40 miles long and will service about 120,000 customers in Christian, Trigg and Todd counties. The HWEA says the project will create around 120 local jobs during construction. Work on the pipeline begins in March of next year and will last about 18 months.
